ABOUT US
Since our formation to help arrange a Jubilee fete in 2012, Our Mickleover have organised many annual community events - Bunny Hunt, Summer Fete, Scarecrow Festival and Christmas Festival.
Over the years we have come up with a few one-off events including a giant water slide, car boot sale, bake off, pumpkin carving and a firewalk which have raised several thousand pounds for charities.

Back in 2017 we started working with Mickleover Sports Club to organise a family music concert and it has become, we believe, a fantastic event - Hot August Night ...... over 4000 people spending an afternoon and evening eating and drinking in a football stadium and enjoying some of the best cover artists in the country in the company of their best friends.
This also gave us the chance to hold another event - Mickleover's Got Talent - where the winner gets to perform on stage at Hot August Night.

In 2018 we, with help from the Mickleover Neighbourhood Board, bought and placed several planters through the centre of the Village as well as creating four flower beds, and planted them up with summer bedding - a beautiful addition to the environment.
Late in 2019 we donated a poly tunnel to Murray Park School, the aim is to encourage the pupils to take an interest in horticulture and realise the benefits of working with nature. We secured help from a local group of allotment holders who are going to guide the pupils. Unfortunately our plans were scuppered by the Coronavirus pandemic. The aim is for the pupils to grow the plants for us to buy and use in the planters and beds - allowing the pupils to develop business plans etc. and raise some funds for other projects.

Also in 2018 we became a Community Interest Company with four Directors:
